David Braxton was born in Pasadena, California and then spent the first seventeen years of his life as a military nomad. He went to eight elementary schools, two junior high schools, and three high schools. David graduated from San Diego State University and attended seven colleges and universities, in total. He has degrees in Psychology, Sociology, Aerospace Studies, and English. His advanced degrees were earned at C.S.U. San Bernardino (Instructional Technology) and at U.C. Santa Barbara (Education). David has taught high school English, college-level Computer Security and Computer Information Systems, graduate-level Instructional Technology, and was a college administrator.
Out of the first 25 years of his life, David spent 21 years around the military. As a Missile Combat Crew Commander in the Air Force, it was his job to prepare for World War III. Those two experiences provided David with a unique perspective and what he saw formed the basis of his philosophy. Thus, David is anti-war and anti-imperialism but not opposed to defending his family and his country (when it is truly threatened).
When asked to boil down his philosophy, David said, “it would be the infamous words of Buckaroo Banzai: ‘No matter where you go, there you are.’ So, take care of the planet; there's no place left to go. Do not play roulette with the environment.”
