As Good As You Remember

It took only six months for Jenny and Lofton’s marriage to become dysfunctional. Both too young. Both too selfish. Both with ideas of who the other should be, and neither willing to accept or even discover who the other person really was. Inevitably, their dysfunction led to dissolution.

Four years later, Jenny’s chance meeting with a mutual friend brings her within striking distance of Lofton.  And, she strikes.

Jenny is on her third marriage, while Lofton has been floating through life, taking it as it comes, avoiding commitments and seeing no harm in short-term relationships. He doesn’t love them and leave them; he just leaves them.

When Jenny discovers that Lofton has finally become the man she wished he had been when they were married, she imagines herself in his new world. However, to get there, she needs a plan, and she needs to make sure Lofton never figures it out.

As their once fiery relationship heads toward combustion, it just remains to be seen who gets consumed in the inferno.
