Stanton’s Door

It was a simple suggestion by his teacher that caused Roger Remquist to start his journal. She said it would help him deal with his life. Merely one day into the journal, he would meet Scarlotte Bairn, and his life would begin to change drastically.

Roger soon discovered that he couldn’t win and Scarlotte couldn’t win. They would never be allowed to be together. Standing in their path were two mothers, five families, and an influential organization with a powerful secret to protect, a secret more than a hundred-twenty years old.

The Stanton mansion has held a secret that had altered the lives of the wealthy, influenced politics, and changed the course of a nation, but they had never faced a real threat to their continuing domination.

Two teenagers would cause that to change. A meeting outside the Stanton mansion gate would start a relationship that would set in motion a series of events that would threaten to topple an organization which would do anything to survive and protect its power.

However, it is not just the external struggle Roger and Scarlotte must face; there is also an internal conflict to resolve and an even deeper secret.
